This is an interesting topic, and a good blog post. When I think of Apple’s marketing strategies, I always think of the metaphor that the marketing is “baked into the cake.” That is, you don’t design a product and then come up with a marketing strategy. You design both together. For example, the distinctive iPod earbuds became a very quick way for people to identify other iPod users on subways and in public, but they weren’t just painted earphones, they were earbuds that matched the style of the iPod itself…

I agree that an e-store is probably the most realistic of these three to start, except I’ve been really interested in niche social networks. It would take work to start, but I really like the potential for these niche, online communities.

I really like #5 related to principles. Once you figure out certain sound business principles, you can apply them in many different ways, but until you do, you may be applying poor principles that are hurting your business. So this is related to #7: you have to learn from your mistakes to continue improving.

I loved reading this post, I really like your creativity in crafting up this post. It’s probably some great inspirations to dream about, if I had to choose what to do in one of these ways (work isn’t a problem) I’d choose creating an estore well, we could do that with Amazon and many other more websites, since they allow us to sell stuff directly from our sites. )
